The Ranch Market
I felt like some kind of insensitive and ignorant biologist taking data- sitting in a lab coat, peering down at the specimen, taking detailed notes, fascinated with the life before my eyes. But I was in a grocery store, with people shopping for their dinner. I felt rude. It eased slightly when I bought some cookies and felt like I was actually contributing, instead of just documenting. It was cool though, for there to be a grocery store focused toward Spanish speaking people. The pinatas, the carnes and the quesos. Good practice for me too, seeing as how I'm taking first year Spanish.
Those cookies were absolutely amazing too.

There's a little market like that right here in Greenwood!
Your brief story seems to indicate that a transformation of sorts was occurring as you became better acquainted with the store. Perhaps...
On the other hand, others wrote that being in the Ranch Market was "like being home again...with the familiar smells, sights and people...it was like being with mom and my aunts..."
What will you feel like the NEXT time you visit?
